Meet the Cast!

  • Michele Wood (Annie)

    Michele is delighted to join the mayhem as Stage Manager Annie in The Play That Goes Wrong. She became involved with NCP 15 years ago when her children started doing summer workshops. Some of her previous roles at the NCP include Barbara in August: Osage County and Cookie in Rumors. She also loves working backstage with the tech crew—making her uniquely qualified to handle theatrical disasters. Or cause them. She apologizes in advance for…well, everything.

  • David Jenkins (Trevor)

    David Jenkins is currently a music teacher for Northwest Local Schools. He enjoys doing theater in his free time. Some of his favorite theater experiences at NCP have been playing Squidward in Spongebob Squarepants: The Musical, Eli Whitney in Anything Goes, and playing trombone for Hadestown and now playing Trevor in The Play That Goes Wrong. David is super excited for The Play That Goes Wrong and he hopes you enjoy it.

  • Mel Lute (Chris)

    Mel lives in North Canton with his family and works as a litigation partner at Baker Dublikar law firm. When he is not in court or on stage, Mel enjoys teaching Martial Arts. Locally, he has appeared in Something Rotten, Rumors, Disaster and the 39 steps. Mel is happy to be part of NCP and would like to thank the cast and crew as well as his family for all of their support.

  • Dave Huthmacher (Jonathan)

    Dave first appeared on stage at the North Canton Playhouse with his daughter Carly in "Night of the Living Dead" (2016), after which he joined the casts of "Run For Your Wife" (2018), "The Diary of Anne Frank" (2019), "Rumors" (2023), "August, Osage County" (2024), and "Thirty-nine Steps" (2025). He is the media specialist at Jackson Memorial Middle School and plays bass guitar in ONE: A Tribute to U2.

  • Frank Lucas (Robert)

    Frank is a civil litigation attorney who is thrilled to return to NCP for such a hilarious production! He hopes you enjoy the performance, otherwise, it truly will be The Play That Went Wrong. Favorite credits include Ren (Footloose), Jamie (The Last Five Years), J.D. (Heathers), Wayne (Puffs), Gleb (Anastasia), George (It’s A Wonderful Life), Tunny (American Idiot) and Dylan (Columbinus). Guided by Colossians 3:23, Frank sends his deepest thanks to God, his amazing wife Nicole, his family, and his friends for their constant support. He also thanks the entire NCP team for this awesome opportunity!

  • Pat Downing (Dennis)

    Pat is excited to play the role of Dennis, a new actor who is cast as the butler and prepaired for a flwales openning nite. Pat’s journey with NCP began in 2009 when he attended his daughter’s first audition and was persuaded by Ted to audition as well. Since then, Pat has performed in and co-hosted over 20 shows with North Canton Playhouse, Avenue Arts, Weathervane and Blue Macaroon. Some of his favorite performances include Avenue Q (Trekkie Monster), The 39 Steps, Rumors, 8 X 10 Theatre and co-hosting the annual fundraisers. He recently retired from Canton City Schools, where he was a math teacher and technology resource teacher. He continues to stay busy playing soccer, coaching boys soccer at Canton Central Catholic and working part-time with MagicSchool, providing online PD for educators across the country. Pat thanks his family and friends for their constant support throughout his theatrical journey. ( yes, the typos in the first sentence are correct as nod to Dennis' mistakes, if you think it doesn't work then you can correct them)

  • Tyler Jensen (Max)

    Tyler Jensen has been involved in theatre for over 20 years, performing at venues such as Carousel Dinner Theatre, Weathervane Playhouse, and Morrison Players, along with other Northeast Ohio stages willing to tolerate his shenanigans. He enjoys dabbling in all areas of production, from acting and directing to lighting design and stage management, and is always happy to jump in wherever needed. Tyler received a Merit in Acting and Vocals from the Ohio Community Theatre Association. He currently directs for the Barberton City School District and North Canton Playhouse while serving as the Operations Manager of Magical Theatre Company. He thanks his wife, Maddie, for her unwavering support (and patience with his theatre hours), and his family and friends for their continued encouragement.

  • Brittany Bailey (Sandra)

    Brittany is thrilled to return to the NCP stage as Sandra. This is her 9th year with the NCP! Favorite past roles include Margaret and Pamela in The 39 Steps and Cassie Cooper in Rumors. Brittany works in IT Enablement at The J.M. Smucker company. She spends her free time doing theater, volleyball, roller-skating, thrifting and throwing themed parties with her friends. Brittany lives in Akron with her husband Chance, fifteen-year-old daughter Cadence and their two Australian Shepards, Aspen and Bear. She wants to thank her family, friends, and co-stars for supporting her being a theater "kid" for life.
